Fog

A tree barely visible through fog.

Melinda Kapor

FOG

The fog surrounds me

cushioning me

within my column of concrete and brick

Looking through a window at a foggy cityscape.

I take comfort in it

reminding me of my childhood

when tule fog was part of winter

and winters equaled comfort

in a ranch style house, half a world away,

the fog, like cotton,

wrapped around something precious
